I was sleeping in the van, away from home, in this dream.  When I awoke, it was late evening. I had no phone to call my husband, in order to tell him where I was. I needed to get home quickly, so I started the car. To my horror, it started going  backward, and I could not press on the brake.  There was something keeping me from operating the pedals. I was afraid that I would die if I did not get that vehicle stopped, so I struggled to remove whatever was over the brake.  I wasn't steering at all during this time.  

As I worked, the van kept going and going. It never crashed. I was amazed and began to gain confidence in the protection I was receiving from Father in Heaven. In the dream, I never did stop working on the brake, in spite of the growing trust I had in God's care. 

I remembered all the dreams I have had of going backwards and seeming out of control. Most of them have the out of control vehicle driving at a very high rate of speed. Then, I remembered my dream of Jesus driving. I will feel totally out of control, and very much afraid. But my Savior will be at the wheel.  That is a great comfort.
