Brigham Young and the Twelve Destroyed the Keys of the Kingdom

The Lord showed me a tiny verse this morning.  It shows how the Church authority was smashed to bits right after Joseph and Hyrum were murdered.

Doctrine and Covenants 81:1-2
...and a counselor unto my servant Joseph Smith, Jun.; Unto whom I have given the keys of the kingdom, which belong always unto the Presidency of the High Priesthood.

When Joseph and Hyrum were murdered, the 12, led by Brigham Young, took control  of the Church and dissolved the First Presidency.  There was no Presidency for 3 years.  When they dissolved the Presidency, they destroyed the only office that had the Keys of the Kingdom!
