We painstakingly built a wood CNC a couple of months ago.  Now, we are learning the ropes on actually cutting wood to make something beautiful or useful.  It is a steep learning curve!

One of the difficulties is figuring out how fast the bit should be spinning, and how fast is that turning bit able to move through the particular wood we are using.  Currently, we are working on pine.  There are a variety of calculators and charts online which can be useful in determining what will work best.  Unfortunately, when I try to apply those numbers, and run my machine, it looks and sounds very distressed and I end up stopping the program that is operating the machine movements.

This morning the Spirit brought those difficulties to the forefront to help me learn an important concept.  Those numbers for the speed and feed rates are created for machines that are built with metal!  My machine is wood, and it has different requirements and limitations.

I learned that people are the same way.  Each moves at their own speed and rate through life.  We cannot force people to move faster, or spin at a higher capacity than they are able.  This little forum is going to focus on Spiritual and Gospel concepts that may seem to push the operational limits.  That is okay.  We each have our own path.

We will maintain a calm on this board.  There will not be arguments about doctrine or contention of any sort.  We will act appropriately with other and reflect the Peacemaker attitude so that we practice that kind of Zion attitude that we want to have when He comes again.  If this is not acceptable, you are invited to visit a different place where you feel more at home.

Newbies are welcome!  We were in that place not so long ago.
